One of Downtown Knoxville’s most beloved characters, Rodney Fuson passed away on Monday morning. He was playful, charming, and vibrant. Many of you will remember the card tricks, the humble flowers, and his entrepreneurial spirit. He wasn’t perfect, but he had dignity and pride. The cost to transport and bury Rodney with a headstone would be a burden on his family, who are of modest means. Rodney’s pride would not allow him to be that burden. In that spirit, we ask that you please join us to give Rodney a final resting place with dignity, respect, and peace. The money we raise will go to embalming, transport of Rodney’s remains to his hometown of Williamsburg, KY, burial and a headstone with his smiling face permanently memorialized. Proceeds raised beyond the total cost will be donated to VMC, an agency committed to preventing and ending homelessness through permanent support housing. Several members of VMC knew and loved Rodney and were instrumental in supporting him and helping him achieve housing of his own. Thank You!
