This is being done by a son-in-law (Lucien who is married to Megan) who loves his in-laws (Bob & Lisa Gilliam) dearly. My mother-in-law has been battling cancer for several years now. She has had her ups and downs with it over the last 4 years and even went into remission once.
After many attempts with surgeries to remove tumors/growths/glands, Radiation and Chemo to fight off this horrible disease, none of them have been successful. The cancer has continued to grow and spread throught her body. She has been suffering and in severe pain for some time now. The treatments made her malnurished and really unable to eat much which hasn't helped. For those who have been down this road with a family member taken by this horrific disease you understand. If you have not had to deal with this in your life I pray you never do.

She has fought a valiant tough fight and now time is to a point where it is running out. This is where my heart has led me to do everything in my power to do what I am attempting to do here.
My father-in-law is a truck driver, his routes take him away on Sunday and bring him back home on Thursdays. This has been so very hard for him to do. He just had his routes changed to where he will be able to be home each night now at 11pm but his routes still take him 100's of miles away from home. He has taken so many days off work so he can be there for his wife when she was having bad days with her health or admitted to the hospital. This has left him with very little to no leave to take off from work with pay.

We were just informed a few days ago that she has very little time left, meaning weeks. Bob has enacted FMLA with his job. However, this protects his job for him to take the time to be with his wife who is his world but he must use his personal leave to be paid for this time. As stated before he has used most if not all of that already. The fact is who wants to be 300 miles away from home and get that call that there may be only an hour or 2 left. Not anyone, especially not him. There are life expenses that have to be afforded still. Food, medicines, health insurance, car payment and so on. These things are what I am worrying about for him because in his mind his wife is what matters right now and not much else.
I pray that those who read this summary can feel what my heart is feeling in trying to raise the money so a husband can be by his wife's side when the time comes. I know in him that he will do everything he can in anyway to do it. I just know I dont want to see him have to struggle because of money just to stay home with his wife.
Please if you can donate even $5 to help do so, if not share this with your friends. He is an amazing man that deserves a little break during such a tough time to be with an amazing woman who really needs him by her side.

She has passed away on the evening of 11/5/2015.
RIP Lisa (Elliot) Gilliam
If anyone would like to still donate by all means please do by all means. There was no life insurance because well it came out of the blue and was on a furore list to do. Money now would be towards funeral costs and to help give Bob time to heal before returning to work.
The previous money donated helped him be able to be home with his wife at the end. It meant more to the family then most will know. God bless everyone and thank you.
Thank you to all
