Dear Friends,
I am now still in a state of shock while experiencing the destructive power of the raging fires, surviving our local Middletown Apocalypse.
Within a short time, fires have devastated our community leaving many homeless and without work.
We got reports about Harbin Hot Springs and many of our friends houses being destroyed. Our hearts are open in sorrow and compassion.
Ashley, Kai, Lily and I were called to evacuate in the late evening on Saturday. We had only taken a few personal belongings and was escaping in a suffocating black cloud of smoke, scorching heat, with ashes covering everything.
Within a few hours, the external reality has changed dramatically.
Last time I saw our physical home, it was still standing, but the fire was less than just a mile away. We are hoping it will survive.
We are accepting the lesson about the impermanence of all things, and finding again where the true home is, so there is also a sense of peace in the midst of the disaster.
The true home is the love we share within our family and the support, and love we have been receiving from our friends.
There is also a deeper home within, that fire cannot burn.
This space within is where we have been working with you and supported so many of you to find it.
The fire cannot take this space away, but in the physical realm it has a power of destruction and creation.
In many myths, there is the same motive of new life emerging from destruction and chaos. Phoenix rising from the ashes, Shiva the Destroyer and the Creator and many other ones including our personal stories of breakups, illnesses, significant losses, and deaths.
These experiences help us to receive the gift of new inspiration in the ruins of the past.
We are inspired to keep sharing what we have been offering and continue the work of personal transformation, healing and spiritual growth.
Considering the degree of devastation in the area where we used to run our retreats, we may not be able to do that in Lake County for a while.
Unfortunately, we needed to cancel many planned retreats.
We are considering to relocate and rebuilt Sacred Springs somewhere else. We are thinking about Costa Rica, where we could create a new place, serving the needs for a healing space even better.
In the spirit of sharing abundance and love, we are asking for your support.
If you are able and willing to help our family in these challenging time and support the creation of a new retreat, please consider donating whatever you can. Your offering will be greatly appreciated and received with gratitude.

Love,
Anjay and Family
