Hey folks,

 

My name is Ryan (he/him) and I am a Trans man from Toronto Canada! I am 31 years old and as yall can imagine, I have been eagerly awaiting top surgery!

 

The surgery is to take place on August 20th. 50% of the surgery cost is covered by OHIP, but the other 50% is considered elective as its technically considered "chest masculinization" and not "necessary". To me, the process of chest masculinization is extremely important.

 

Surgery itself costs about $3500 and I'm looking to raise an additional $1500 to cover rehabilitation time off from work and homecare necessities (additional pillows, dog walking for the first few days after surgery, possible health care visits/prescriptions etc).

 

It absolutely pains me to have to ask for help, but I have seen my community come through for so many folks over the past couple years and I'd like to share my journey as well.

 

I will be writing hand thank you notes and including some fun nerdy art, toys and snacks for all who donate over $25. Know that no matter what you all mean so much to me and I'm so so grateful to have you in my life.
