Hello all! My name is Sam, and I am creating this GoFundMe for my best friend Madison, a 29-year-old registered nurse, who is newly engaged, and one of the most selfless people I have ever met.

Madison has spent her life caring for others. As a nurse, a friend, a daughter, and a partner, she is the person who shows up for anyone in need, no questions asked! If someone is struggling, she is the first to offer help, even when she has little energy left to give. That is simply who she is: endlessly giving, compassionate, and strong.

For over a year, Madison has been battling unexplained medical issues that left her visiting over 14 doctors and constantly undergoing testing and procedures. Despite everything, she kept pushing forward with a smile on her face.

Then came the news no one is ever prepared to hear, “It’s breast cancer.”

Instead of planning her wedding and enjoying her engagement, Madison is now preparing for a double mastectomy. Her future treatment plan, including possible chemotherapy or additional surgeries, is still unknown. The uncertainty alone has been overwhelming.

Because of her health, Madison has been unable to work for over a year. Madison has given so much of herself to others. Now it’s our turn to give back to her.
