My name is Zera.

I have been on the disability support scheme for nine years, at 6'7 gravity objects to me engaging in the most regular of activities like walking and standing for any measure of time.

Three years ago, unable to find suitable roommates, I was unable to renew my lease in Hobart and living alone is a luxury I could not afford. I had already applied for housing assistance prior to this occuring and after. I was unable to secure another rental on my own and since then, I have been living mostly out of a station wagon. I'm thankful to have a number of people that can provide the occasional bed and access to shower facilities but it's all rather impermanent.

Unfortunately the prolonged stress of such a situation has resulted in my health declining further. It's no longer just my bones, joints and mobility, my autonomous nervous system is failing to function. I've been trying to get answers for the last year and they have now discovered a tumor on my thyroid.

My height is causing exacerbation of these health issues because I simply cannot fit properly sleeping in a car. In three years the Tasmania housing department has not progressed my application at all. To top it all off, my current primary residence (a station wagon) was damaged when someone drove into it while I was parked. It is now unuseable for transport.

So, this go fund me is to try and source the money to purchase a van that can accommodate my height. This would increase my quality of life to slightly less than completely intolerable and make going through medical treatments significantly easier.

I really hate having to ask individual people for help and I am very uncomfortable with asking for money but I cannot continue this way. I don't know what else to do.

If you read all the way through, thank you and If you choose contribute, thank you again.
