My name is Brett Johnson, I've been with my beloved wife (Kim Johnson) for 27 years.

For over a year now we have lived with cancer. I watched it eat away Kim stealing our hopes of a future together. Cancer slowly took everything from us. I know she's with God, and was a blessed woman but I am left behind drifting aimlessly without her.

I was Kim's only caretaker during this time, which forced me to take intermittent leave from work; cutting my income in half. For the last two months, I had to leave work full-time to be with the love of my life only to watch her slowly die.

I am asking for help because nothing can financially prepare you for a loss of income and the cost that is incurred for care and treatment. There were expenses that I wasn't expecting which has placed me under a financial strain, on top of the immense grief im trying cope with.
