Matthew Kucinski just celebrated his 20th birthday. He is a smart, good kid who is very family oriented. His family and his friends are everything to him. He loves helping his mom, Olga, with her plants in the garden. He also loves skateboarding and loves music. Matthew admits that he’s a little old fashioned when it comes to his taste in music: The Cranberries are one of his favorite bands with their song “Linger” being his favorite song.

Matthew has been attending Broward College for the last two years while working a part-time job. He is a very good student, making the Dean’s List, and has a scholarship to help pay for his tuition.

Matthew’s real passion is photography. He even collects old cameras. He dreams of attending an art school so he could learn all that can about photography. He jokes about how he would probably be poor his whole life but would figure it out because being an artist is what he truly enjoys.

On the evening of Tuesday, June 4th, Matthew fell and suffered a horrific head injury. After two surgeries, Matthew still remains in the Intensive Care Unit at the Hospital in a medically induced coma. His mother Olga, as well as his aunts and cousins, have been by his side constantly. His condition is up and down but the family remains hopeful of the prognosis.

We are trying to collect money for this truly wonderful family to help with medical costs as well as to ease the financial burdens that Olga may experience during this time.

Norma, Olga's sister, will be helping with this fundraiser as the beneficiary for Matthew and Olga. Norma will be overseeing the withdrawal and management of the funds.
