Help Walaa's Family to start over

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Zeina, residing in Germany currently and trying to help out a friend in Gaza. We are appealing to your sense of humanity and generosity to help Walaa' Al-Sharif and her family.

Walaa' is a dentistry graduate from Gaza who hast lost her home in Zahra City. Her parents' home has also been completely destroyed and she and her daughter are consistently exposed to threatening situations which leave a psychological and physical toll on them. We are now collecting funds for Walaa', her husband Mahmoud and her daughter Aya Al Bursh to start over, this includes the prohibitively expensive border crossing fees as well as travel and living expenses for the first few months after evacuating to Egypt.

Over the time that I grew to know Walaa', I've learned that she is one of the kindest and gentlest souls despite the hardships she has had to go through. She is also funny, creative and resilient and I am sure she will do everything in her power to give her child everything she deserves.

Now Wala’a will tell you what happened to them.

Hello to the world, to the most kind hearts of the world
My name’s Wala’a, a dentistry graduate who dreamed of working as a dentist since I was young. I struggled to prove myself but unfortunately I have not worked in my field since I graduated since 2019 due to poor economic conditions and high unemployment rates. My husband studied software engineering and worked in several fields and lost his work on the morning of the seventh day of October! Our lives turned upside down.

But the biggest event was the 20th of October, the day we left our house, all of Al-Zahra towers were bombed, 35 towers, and we stayed in the street at night for 12 hours, and we saw the towers falling before our eyes in the severe cold at night!

Aya in front of the destroyed towers of the city of Zahra:

After that, we went to my father's house, and it was bombed on our heads, and we miraculously survived, but we were again exposed to harsh struggles because we did not know any safe place.

We left for the displacement shelter, but we were suffering from epidemics, lack of hygiene and unfit drinking water. I was infected with the hepatitis A, and my only child was affected by severe pollution. There are statistics at the Euro-Mediterranean Observatory that confirm the number of children affected by epidemics in the places of displacement. Knowing that I need the shelter even if it is dirty, because it is some kind of a safe place according to the coordinator page of the other party, we stayed until the tanks entered the shelter centre of the UNRWA.

And I still suffer from the lack of treatment necessary for my health condition, as I have difficulty breathing and I use Nosacare treatment permanently, and this treatment is cut off. I do not want my fate to be like my mother, who I lost in the war because of the lack of cancer treatment sessions.

So I'm trying to get out, me and my family

All contributions will go to aid the following expenses:

• EUR21,000 for Permits and Crossing: expenses for evacuating Gaza through the Rafah-Egypt border will come to EUR 7,000 per person.
• EUR2500 for transaction costs: GoFundMe’s transaction fees and international transfer costs will come to an estimated EUR2500.
• EUR 3500 Estimated cost for living expenses. (Food, shelter, clothes and any other necessities they might need)
• EUR 10 Estimated cost every week for my treatment

Now we are in Gaza and we are seeking to get out to Egypt.
Imagine a world where Aya can grow up without the constant fear of airstrikes, a world where Mahmoud and Wala’a can rebuild their lives and pursue dreams that were once deemed impossible.
