Support for Siobhán

Tribesmen Rowing Club has set up this page so our members, friends and supporters of Siobhán McCrohan can provide some financial support as she works towards representing Ireland this year at World Cup and World Championship events, and Paris 2024.

To concentrate on her training full time, Siobhán left her job in November 2022. She currently receives no funding from Sports Ireland or Rowing Ireland and to date her costs have all been self funded - including purchasing a new boat, renting accommodation near the national training centre in Cork, as well as additional travel expenses.

Siobhán is making this training pay off! In May she was selected to represent Ireland in the lightweight women's single event (LW1x) at the World Rowing European Championship Regatta, where she came 4th in the A Final. In July, at World Cup III, she won a silver medal for Ireland in the LW1x. In September she competed in the World Championships in Belgrade, where she WON GOLD AND BECAME WORLD CHAMPION!
