Shaping My Classroom for ALL Types of Brains

I teach seventh grade in a rural district in Niagara County, north of Buffalo, NY. This year, I have a dynamic group of students with varying abilities. Each student brings a variable that accentuates their neighbor's abilities. Energetic, willing, kind and hardworking are words that describe my students.
It is a common reality that school budgets for classroom necessities are tight. Our district is no different, and my students are in need of a classroom that allows them to move; therefore increasing their brain function, potential and focus.
Many of my students need to move to think, and do their best work. Flexible seating is predominately important to assist with students who have ADHD and other executive functioning diagnoses.
Ergo Ergo chairs are one tool to benefit students who need to move to learn best. This version of flexible seating provides the feel of large movements, without the large movements. Ergo Ergo chairs are also a more appropriate in function and style at the middle school level.
I am asking to purchase 4 chairs at $109.00/chair +tax, for a total of $471.97. Also, I anticipate purchasing the Ergo Ergo chairs within the first week of December, as I have several students who will benefit immediately from the implementation of this specific, flexible seating.
