Hurricane Melissa severely impacted our family in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. The Hall family is raising funds to provide food, shelter, and essential supplies to help our loved ones rebuild and restore hope to their lives.
Hurricane Melissa has devastated St. Elizabeth, leaving homes destroyed, livestock lost, and families struggling without food, clothing, or shelter. Our family was hit especially hard: our ancestral home - where my mother and her eight siblings were born - was destroyed. Additional family members’ homes were badly damaged, and their livestock, a vital source of food and income, was lost.
My mother was born and raised in St. Elizabeth, and through her, our family has deep roots in the community. Although we now live abroad, our hearts remain tied to the people and the place that shaped her early years.
We’re raising $7,500 to help our family rebuild - providing food, clean water, clothing, and home repairs. Donations will go directly toward urgent essentials: repairing homes, replacing livestock, providing temporary shelter, and covering daily necessities. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps restore hope and stability.
As we enter the holiday season, we hope to bring comfort and a renewed sense of security to our family. Thank you for your compassion, prayers, and generosity.
With gratitude,
The Hall Family
