On 11/13, Skoobie got out of his owners brothers house in Oak Lawn. Skoobie’s determination to get back to his owner has been inspiring. After numerous sightings and with the help of so many, Skoobie was found over a week after he got out. Unfortunately during his adventure back he sustained significant injuries that will need medical attention. Skoobie was hit by a car and was limping around with the injuries for two days. Poor Skoobie's injuries include a large open wound from a broken leg and is suffering with many other injuries, including a dislocated leg and cuts/scrapes on his face and other areas of his body. He needs to have surgery to amputate his tail and possibly his leg too. His owner never gave up looking for him and she’s still doing everything she can for a speedy recovery. This go fund me is to help with the vet bills, currently estimated at $8,000 to $10,000, for Skoobie’s recovery. Anything is appreciated and will help Skoobie get back to his happy and healthy self. We will provide updates on his recovery through this page for those who want to continue following Skoobie's progress.
