Help For Joseph: Tragically Has Lost His Parents

Donation protected

On March 18, 2021, 20 year old Joseph Garcia lost his beautiful, joyful, fun-loving and endearing parents, Jose and Sandra, to an unthinkable act of violence in their own home at the hands of their eldest son, Joseph’s brother. There are no words to describe, or help comprehend, this devastating blow to our family, friends, and community

Jose and Sandra tirelessly loved their eldest son and sought every avenue to help him. They never burdened others with their struggles.  Few knew how much they suffered with their first born who, no matter what they tried, could not seem to get on a good path.  Despite these extremely difficult circumstances, Jose and Sandra always chose to be a light of peace, love, and joy to all, instead of a burdenSandra was Joseph’s best friend, they were two peas in a pod, and Jose was his coach and mentor.  Joseph lived with his parent’s pain everyday, but with their never-ending love and support, he has grown into an amazing, hard-working, funny, intelligent, and loving young man. Joseph is deeply loved by his family, friends, and community, but he needs our help. Joseph witnessed this horrendous act of violence against his parents and in an instant, he lost his closest confident and best friend, his Mother, and his coach, his Father, and his only brother.

Prior to this blow, Joseph had already faced several challenges, so much more than your typical 20-year-old.  Following Hurricane Maria’s  destruction to the island of Puerto Rico in 2017, Joseph was uprooted from his home, and only out of great necessity moved to Texas with his parents. He is strong and resilient but he needs our help.

We are raising this money to help Joseph as he grieves, relearns to be a happy young man, and to help him get set up on his own two feet. These funds will be used to help him get his own apartment, pay for bills, and to contribute to the funeral expenses for two parents that will be transported and buried overseas back on their beautiful island of Puerto Rico. Any excess funds will be used in honor of Jose and Sandra to help protect other parents who also struggle with children lost to mental health issues.

We will never forget the light Jose and Sandra shined upon so many. Joseph already promised his family that he will honor the love of his Mother and Father by living his best life, and he will. With your help he will. Please give if you are able and share as much as possible.  Hug the ones you love and hold them tight. Thank you.

In Memory of Jose and Sandra.
