Nelson Family Fire Relief

My Aunt and Uncle, Kathy and Jerry Nelson are lucky to be alive after the LNU fire destroyed their house on Pleasants Valley Rd. in Winters / Vacaville on Aug. 19 2020.  It started in the middle of the night when  a phone call from a  quick thinking  neighbor woke them up and warned them the back of their house was on fire. They had less than a minute to grab their dog , get in the car and flee. The flames chased them down their long driveway and when they turned onto the main road, they heard an explosion from their propane tank that surely would have killed them had they not left when they did. They virtually left with the clothes on their back , leaving behind Kathy's medication, hearing aids , wallets, cash and creditcards. Also in the panic rush to get out, Jerry mistakenly grabbed the remote thinking it was his eye glass case. Along with the vital necessities , they lost their beautiful house they built 31 years ago full of treasured memories and antiques, all their clothes,  2 vehicles, business supplies,  a fully stocked kitchen,  a boat, tools,  and scuba and fishing gear.  My Aunt and Uncle are the most caring and giving people that I know and it is devastating that this should happen to such nice people. So  please help donate in  their time of need, so that they may get some of the basic necessary items they need just to survive. Any amount is deeply appreciated.   Thank you. Tami Brewer
