I’m reaching out to you on behalf of my friend, Onaje Lewis, who has called the UK home since the age of six. Tragically, Onaje has found himself in an extremely difficult situation. Recently, he was detained on the 13/02/2025 in a detention centre, which has had a major impact on his mental health , he has social anxiety and PTSD and it has now been intensified since his future here is now uncertain.

Onaje has not been back to Jamaica since his arrival, and unfortunately, with no family or support network in the country, he is facing this immense challenge alone. As you can imagine, this is a terrifying and overwhelming time for him. He is in urgent need of legal representation to navigate the complex situation, and without it, the outcome could be even more devastating.

The legal costs involved are significant, and while we remain hopeful, there is a possibility that additional funds may be required depending on how the case progresses. Any contribution—no matter how big or small—will go directly toward securing the best legal counsel for Onaje, giving him the best chance of a positive outcome.
