In loving Memory Daniel Shaw

It is heart-breaking to have to accept this gut-wrenching news.
It is with the heaviest of hearts we announce the passing of “Daniel Michael Shaw”.
Daniel's body is currently in Germany so the funds raised in this will pay towards the transfer of Daniels body from Germany to the UK and his funeral once back in the UK, as well as the legal costs in dealing with his estate. If you can donate what you can to support his siblings or share it would be greatly appreciated to relieve the burden on his brothers and sisters.
The death of Daniel has rocked his home town of Milton Keynes, the shocking news of his passing has touched so many that knew Daniel throughout his life. But none more so than his family.
Sadly, Daniel lost his battle with depression and crushingly took his own life on the 10th of March 2022.
This has left the family shattered.
The question we are all asking ourselves “How much can one family go through”
Daniel’s tragic end came from his battle with depression. This may be hard for some to read but I think Daniel’s life should be told in its entirety.
Daniel was bought into this world by one of life’s angels in Sylvia Forrester known to others as Tracey Forrester. A beautiful and fierce woman who struck love and fear into the friends of Daniel, who would knock for him backed up by Asha the most dangerous poodle to grace Oldbrook field.
Now, needless to say, Daniel was beautiful and as he grew older girls became fascinated. When he would work his shift at House of Fraser girls would enter the store and walk past his counter multiple times just to catch a glimpse. He honestly really was that good looking. If you spoke to Daniel, you would know that the softly spoken young man was just as beautiful on the inside as he was outside.
Sadly, behind the beautiful face and softly spoken words, Daniel harboured some childhood traumas. Daniel had been through some harrowing ordeals in his younger years. Growing up in a household with domestic violence. After many years Sylvia grew the strength to fight back and left the abusive environment taking her four children with her to a mother's and children’s shelter. Sylvia eventually settled with a new partner in Oldbrook and after a few years, normality was finally restored and she had another child. For a while the world was right no longer did Daniel his mother and four other siblings live in fear but grew strong from the strength of a loving home. They all began to prosper and flourish; Daniel became engrossed with his talent and passion for football. The creativity began to Ouse from the family support provided by Mum.
Cruelly, out of nowhere tragedy struck and a phone call came through like an arrow to the heart. “Mum”, Sylvia had been involved in a car accident and died at the scene. 16-year-old Daniel who was just finding his way in the world and going through the transition from boy to man was hit with the worst news anyone can hear, “Mum has died”.
Sadly, things did not get any better and after mum had passed away once again Daniel, Aaron and Salina with nowhere else to go were at the mercy of the council, the council managed to find them accommodation overnight. With no family support and living in an unknown, unfurnished and overcrowded flat life began to paint a cruel picture. They would pool their money for food, furniture and clothes, whilst still kids in education and coming to terms with the loss of their mother and being separated from their younger sister.
Daniel took the passing of his mother hard and when the relationship with his childhood sweetheart broke down, it became too much for him. Daniel then left for Germany becoming fluent in German and creating a life with a new partner. Although Daniel had seen a very ugly side to the world, he still saw the beauty in it and captured it through photography. Once again life was becoming stable and normal, Daniel had found happiness and light through the darkness he had endured. The 14-year relationship came to an end which had an adverse impact on Daniel and his mental health.
Tragedy struck again, in a cruel twist of fate as Salina his sister, suddenly died at the peak of the Covid pandemic. No one knew how much this had affected Daniel; however, this was the catalyst where Daniel fell into a deeper depression. As lockdown exacerbated his depression and Germany was also not allowing people to leave their homes or provinces thus not being able to be physically present for his family in the UK.
Daniel supported his younger brother Aaron and sister Simone by taking on the responsibility of looking after Salina’s three children, in a bid to keep the three children together to ensure they did not have to endure the same fate when they lost their mother. Consequently, the fathers came forward and took all three children to different parts of the country and resulting in the children being prematurely separated.
Daniel fought on once again and began a new relationship back in Germany whilst studying for his master's degree, he focused on his career and began to excel, the whole time hiding his depression from family and friends. Eventually, lockdown eased and Daniel managed to get back to England to see friends and family. Some of us lads had the pleasure of playing a 7 a side match with him. Daniel eventually went back to his life in Germany and was working hard to reconnect with all his siblings after the covid pandemic.
Heartbreakingly, shortly after depression caused Daniel to take his own life.
Daniels surviving siblings Aaron, Lorell and Simone are now once again tasked with burying a family member. Daniel's body is currently in Germany and we want to fly him home so he can be buried close to his mum and sister.

In all of this, you need to understand Daniel was loved by his siblings and friends.
However, two people stand out; these two individuals were extremely special to Daniel. He called them his adopted parents, but they were far more than that to Daniel. They were "home". They were light in the darkness; Sandra and Basil let Daniel know he was loved, special, and wanted unequivocally.
