Red recently tore his right CCL or cranial cruciate ligament (the ligament holding the knee together) when he was swimming in the ocean and is getting surgery soon. He can’t run, play, or even go on walks currently, so this surgery will drastically improve his quality of life so he can go back to doing the things he loves.

The surgeon will put a plate in his knee so he will be a bionic pup and I am told he will make a full recovery.  He is a happy and otherwise healthy chocolate lab, and is the best friend I could ever ask for. As his grandpa likes to say, “he doesn’t have a mean bone in his body” and people are always commenting on how he is such a happy dog.  I hope to raise enough funds to pay for his surgery, so anything is appreciated.
