Today we got our confirmed diagnosis following scans and a biopsy. Jackson has an inoperable and incurable brain tumor called a Diffuse Midline Glioma. This is a stage 4 brain tumor in his brain stem and thalamus.
Jackson will begin radiation therapy with hopes that a clinical trial could become available.
We are in for the fight of our lives and my husband and I want to be able to devote our time and energy to our family for whatever time Jackson has left. I will not be working so that I can care for Jackson and take him to treatment. Eric will be doing his best to balance work and being the amazing father he is.
Even when life gets unimaginable, the bills keep coming, and there is no doubt that we have some huge medical bills in our future.
A “go fund me” has been set up to help with the enormous medical cost, as well as going down to one income to support Jackson’s treatment. Anything you can contribute is an amazing blessing.
We ask for your prayers for our sweet, loving 10 year old boy, who just doesn’t deserve this.
