Back in August I went down to Pennsylvania and watched the first Sight & Sound Theater performance since I was old enough to remember it. I was blown away, not by the fancy sets, the music, and the larger than life EVERYthing (although... those were all pretty mind boggling) , but the heart. The gospel was presented it such a clear way and people were encouraged to talk to anyone working there. That's when I decided I wanted to work there. While looking at audition info online I stumbled upon the Sight & Sound Conservatory's webpage. Academically this was the exact type of program I was looking for, with the added bonus of it being somewhere to cultivate my faith! But there was one pretty big problem, the deadline for applications was in May. Guess I gotta wait until last year right? Wrong!
I contacted the Conservatory on the chance that they had a spot available. And entirely by God's grace they did! They accepted my application, and called me down for an audition. The day after my audition in PA I was accepted! This BLEW me away! Only ten students are accepted a year, and somehow I was one of them despite my being 4 months late! I willl now be attending the conservatory starting January 11th! The program consists of every theater class I could hope for, and two shows a day for 50 weeks! I will be learning so much in SO many ways, while also becoming part of a group that spreads the gospel of Christ to thousands of people EVERY day!
So far God has opened every door for me to move down there come January. He has gone overboard with showing me that he is in control of my life, and that that is an incredeble thing! He has already provided SO much in the way of my audition working out, finding a roommate, and finances. I trust entirely in His timing and plan, and I believe this is another part of that! So far I have been very blessed by people giving much more than they had to to support my cause, and I cannot STAND asking for money, but that's just how the cookie crumbles ain't it?
Because of the intencive schedule, next year I will have NO source of income. This means that come January I must have my entire tuition, $6950, plus all of my living expences for the next year. This includes car payments, food, rent, gas, you know, all the fun stuff. I was not planning on attending anywhere in 2016, and because this all happened so late in the year I do not have much saved up, or much time TO save it up. I trust that God will provide for my needs if I am meant to be there, but if the Lord puts it on your heart to give, no matter the amount, I would be profoundly greatful. Every little bit helps! I have already raised over half of the tuition, the rest is in God's hands!
Thank you for all of your love and support! Even if you can't give finantially, prayer is a strong weapon and I believe helps just as much, if not more, than giving financially. God bless all of you wonderous people!
