For everyone that knows Jordan, and for those of you that don’t, Jordan is a fun, loving, spunky son to Mike and Tricia Broomfield, Grandson, Brother, Uncle and friend. Jordan loves deeply, works hard, and has a smile that can brighten the room in a second! He loves Pentatonix, and Glee, and will sing every song at the top of his lungs. On Monday, January 2nd, 2023 Jordan had woken with a slight cough and a low grade fever. Knowing Jordan, and how prone he is to pneumonia, he was taken to the doctor to get a head start and stop the sickness before it got bad. While awaiting for results of chest X-rays, and blood work, Jordan began coughing small blood clots. The next day, January 3rd, 2023, Jordan’s condition continued to get worse. At this time, his results were coming back, which looked as if he had double pneumonia, and was admitted to the ICU as he continued to cough blood. Upon further testing, medical imaging and blood work, what looked like pneumonia was actually blood in his lungs. At 10:00pm on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2023 Jordan went into respiratory failure, at this time he was intubated, put on a ventilator and stars ambulance was called to transfer Jordan from the Moose Jaw ICU to the Regina MICU. Due to the extreme fog, stars ambulance was unable to get their and the Regina MICU gave orders of what to do with Jordan until they could safely transfer him to Regina. Upon arrival at Regina MICU on Wednesday, January 4th, 2023 further testing was done, to which has now confirmed that Jordan has pulmonary vasculitis, and pulmonary hemorrhage which is affecting both his lungs aswell as his Kidneys. Jordan will remain in the hospital in Regina for weeks to months, as he continues to fight everyday to get better. Jordan has a long road to recovery, and will be undergoing an intensive treatment for Microscopic Polyangiitis (Vasculitis). There will also be medications Jordan will require for life long treatments.

At this time, Tricia has taken a leave from work to be by Jordan’s side, and will be looking at temporary relocation to Regina as winter highways can be unsafe and unreliable. Mike will continue to work in Moose Jaw, to sustain normalcy for Jordan for his return home.

Any help is appreciated, to support the family at this time to be by Jordan’s side as he fights
