Help Chris Chappell kick Cancer in the Butt

Chris Chappell is a loving husband to Angie, a father, and a man who loves his pets. He has been an employee for The Houston Fire Department 20 years as a firefighter/paramedic. Everyone knows him for his infectious personality, smile, and constant jokes.

 

Chris has never had serious health issues until last week when he was taken from work to HCA Kingwood Emergency Department for pain in his abdomen. Unfortunately, it was not in the cards for him as he was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma.

 

Chris is scheduled to have a nephrectomy next Tuesday and will be out of work for at least 8 weeks.

 

He is going from having a completely normal everyday life to now this. We can only imagine what it is like to get this news unexpectedly, the physical, emotional, and financial toll it could take on one’s spirit.

 

Many people may not understand the full extent of what he is about to endure. With his permission, I share this in hopes that he will see the large amount of people that he has touched in his life. I hope to show him the same support that he would give others.

 

Even though this is just the beginning, he is already counting down the days until he can return to his normal life. Until then, this page will serve as a way that we can help Chris get the support and see the love that he desperately needs as he continues the journey to 100% remission.
