QMUWR Stretcher Carry 2021

Do you want to join QMUWR in making a difference? Queen Margaret University Women's Rugby Team are raising money in aid of HEAD FOR CHANGE and every donation will help!

Queen Margaret University Women's Rugby Team (QMUWR) will be taking part in a stretcher carry to raise money for the charity Head for Change. Head for Change is a new charity that aims to raise awareness of brain health in sport and provides support to ex-players who are affected by neurodegenerative disease as a result of their career playing football or rugby.

QMUWR has as seen first hand the damage caused by concussion and head injuries in sport. We would like to raise awareness of the symptoms of concussion and be champions within women's rugby. At QMUWR we believe that noticing the signs/symptoms of concussion is both the responsible of the team and the individual affected.

On Wednesday 26th of May, QMUWR will be taking part in a stretcher carry, from Queen Margaret University in Musselburgh to Murrayfield Rugby Stadium. The route is around 8 mile, with the stretcher rotating around the team throughout the run. The stretcher carry is to signify teamwork, never leaving anyone behind and looking after your teammates!

Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to QMUWR and Head for Change!
