Since back in October 2020 my mother has been dealing with severe complications to her health. Due to everything going on in the world right now (with us, with Covid etc), it was difficult to consider our options aside from trying to take care at home.
Her condition had developed into a case of ascites/edema, with probability from the first ER visit prognosis of cirrhosis of the liver. We weren't sure ourselves with the way they handled things, or spoke in a way that wasn't so definite. Not to mention during that time she'd lost her primary care physician, so that only added onto the pile of stress.
First ER visit took care of the problem for the time being (the ascites) back in June, but some months after that the complications came crawling back. We tried with the medications she was given, but to no avail it didn't help much at all, and her condition only seemed to worsen.
My mother is currently at the hospital with implications of end of stage liver failure. I have no clue what will happen from here on out, but keeping in mind the possibility of getting past this hurdle, or at the very least making things more comfortable for her, that's all I really wanna do.
I don't know how much funding that would take, but every little bit is appreciated. It'd go towards her care currently, covering anything that needs to be taken care of while she's indisposed or during any procedures/surgeries she may need to go through, and to take the stress off of now and future responsibilities while she hopefully recoups.
I love my mother dearly and still want to do what I can for her even now. I want her to get past this like all the other hardships she's had in her life, and for her to live a better, healthier and happier life. She's done so much for so many people (including myself) so I hope to give her that much.
