Help Nelly Become a Teacher.. Not a Tragedy

My name is China Mac, and I’m raising funds for a 16-year-old Cambodian girl named Nelly.

Nelly’s life changed long before the conflict on the Thailand-Cambodia border made the news. Months ago, her father passed away after a long illness. She dropped out of school to help support her family. She once dreamed of becoming a teacher, but that dream got pushed aside by survival.

Then the bombing started. Her village was hit, and she was forced to evacuate. What little sense of normalcy she had left was gone.

At this point, Nelly has given up on that dream.

This fundraiser is to keep it alive.

The goal is to send her back to school, cover tuition and supplies, and support her family just enough so she can focus on building the future she once believed in.
