Support Elizabeth Stokes’s Healing Journey

Recent challenges:

We are close friends of the Stokes family writing this to explain the enormous challenges that this kind and loving family has recently encountered. Elizabeth Stokes has been battling cancer for 9 years, and it has progressed recently since April. Elizabeth is a loving mother who has homeschooled her 3 children, serving her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with passion. She is in the fight for her life! Recently, the family has been hit with a new, massive challenge. Her husband David has recently lost his job. This new challenge has hit the family hard leaving us seeking your help. As one can imagine, the battle against cancer is very expensive and now the loss of a job with no severance package presents an even greater challenge.

Urgent immediate goal:

We know that we serve an awesome God that can move mountains. The Stokes family needs your help. Elizabeth needs funding for an innovative type of treatment that is not conducted in the United States. This is a remarkable program that has had powerful, lasting results with people that we know in similar situations. The family needs to raise $60,000 to cover the clinical expenses of this promising treatment.

Elizabeth's present condition:

Elizabeth’s diagnosis has recently increased to stage 4 cancer with tumors in her liver, lymph nodes around her lung, and also her stomach. She is fighting cancer on all fronts using both conventional and innovative treatments. A great deal of these treatments are not covered by insurance which means the financial burden on the family has been ongoing for a long time before the recent job loss. The April PET scan also shows that she had a compression fracture in her vertebrae surgery site and fluid around her left lung. Elizabeth is in constant pain making it difficult to eat resulting in significant weight loss. Recently, Elizabeth had a stent placed in her right kidney running to her bladder. We are praying that her kidney will drain well.

Please help the Stokes family. The challenge of fighting cancer is hard enough with an income. This new challenge is daunting for man but completely possible with God. As a friend of the Stokes, we are stepping out to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ through prayer and financial support.
