QMC to help save lives

Do you want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money in aid of Nottingham University Hospitals Charity and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.

Hey, I'm vic and This will be my 2nd gofundme for the QMC and probably not the last one either. My plan is to walk up snowdon this year which will be my first very big mountain to raise some money for the QMC.

Heres abit about My story... Nov 2016 I was in a serious car crash as a rear seat passenger. I sustained over 30 broken bones. Most serious breaks being a fractured base of my skull, 2 breaks in my neck, broken collar bone and 15 broken ribs- 5 broke twice(which has resulted in left side of my rib cage with nerve damage and soft tissue damage), 2 breaks in the base of my back and a broken nose. (3rd broken nose and it's still pretty straight lol)

I also had sustained brain injuries, spinal chord damage, punctured lung and right ear total deafness.

I was on a life support machine and in a coma for 4 weeks and in hospital for 2 months in total. I can't really remember much of hospital which is probably a good thing.

I want to raise funds because they helped keep me alive and give me the best 2nd chance at life. The NHS is struggling at the minute and without the NHS I possibly wouldn't be here.

Sadly We all need the NHS at some point in our lives. My treatment whilst in hospital involved many things I'm not aware of thankfully, but here is a few of the things I do know of, induced coma, life support machine, icp bolt (,check pressure in my brain), bed, medication, nurses, doctors, surgeons, CT scans, xrays, cannulas, tubes and so much more.

Without all the above our lives could be very different. So I'm raising money for the QMC to give something back and possibly help save the life of another person. I will be donating aswell. when we get to the top of that mountain ill be so emotional and thankful to the QMC (firecrews and first responder )for keeping me alive and giving me a 2nd chance at life. I know that they are partly the reason I am alive and being able to look at the pure beauty of the view from the top of Snowdon. (If it's clear up there) so if your able to support me in supporting them I would be so grateful, Thank you.

Also I'd like to thank my personal trainer again as he's been amazing and helped push me in my fitness and rehabilitation journey and he's helped me loose over 8 stone. It's been tough at times and he is great at listening, thankfully as i talk loads. I want to thank my rehab team too, it's been a tricky journey at times but thank you all for believing in me and supporting me. Without you I think I'd be a very lost person. A massive thank you to the team thats coming up the mountain with me too and making this possible for me. I'm so excited and this is a massive goal for me.

Thank you for supporting and thank you for reading. Have a great day!
