My Racing dream

Hello!

I hope everyone is doing well, i have started a fundraiser for people who want to help me race this season :)

Why I’m Fundraising

I have set a goal of raising enough money to cover the biggest expenses related to racing at international level, lodging, transportation… I’m also in need of a bike this season, as the one I have been riding is now too small for me and starting to hold me back.

I’m passionate about downhill mountain biking, and i put in a lot of work every day to improve, which is why I moved to a biking school in falun. But going racing outside of sweden is expensive and it would be awesome with support from those around me.

Where I’m Racing in 2025

-IXS european downhill cup,Semmering, 13-15th july (unconfirmed)

- Les 2 alpes french championships 15-18th july

-IXS european downhill cup, Les orres, 24-27th july

-Åre Swedish cup, 16-17th august

-Vallåsen swedish cup 23-24th august

(There will also be a few more races in september)

My long-term goal is to qualify for bigger events like World Cups. Which i have to get into by winning points at the races i am doing this summer.

What I have accomplished so far

This past winter, I have been training a lot, on the bike, in the gym, I also competed in the Swedish National Downhill Championships 2 weeks ago, where I finished 8th with a mistake in my race run. It was a good experience and a great way to prepare for the season.

How your contribution will be used

All donations will go directly toward:

-transportation to and from races

-Lodging (Airbnbs, hotels)

-The Bike

-Race entry fees

-Food and essentials during trips

Estimated Cost for the season

To give an idea, here’s the average cost per race:

-Lodging (4 nights): 320€

-Entry fees: 80€

-Food, and other essentials: 180€

-The bike itself: 5000€

Total: 580€ per race

Grand Total for lodging,food,entry fees and cost for the bike : 7900€

With 4-5 big events this season, the costs add up. That’s why I’m hoping to raise enough to cover the costs and be able to do my all at all the races.

I’ll be sharing my journey through race videos, photos on my Instagram (@emil.depaulis). I will also give a personal thank you to everyone that contributes. and if there is a company that contributes, it will happily be featured on my social media.and I would be happy to add your logo to my race jersey or bike and give exposure throughout the season.
