Baby Simi Alaimalo

When god has a calling, there's a reason for it. My nephew Simi Brandon King Alaimalo who is barely 6 months was in a heartbreaking accident that led him to be in the ICU here in Long Beach California. I received the call about our little angel from my sister Lori, and they were able to fly down immediately. When Ryan and Lori arrived they were told that Simi is stable but he is in critical condition. Simi had been on a ventilator day in and day out, relying on every machine hooked up to his body to keep him breathing. Doctors ran numerous tests to see what they could do to help our little guy survive but there was nothing they could do. My sister and brother in law had to make one of the most HARDEST decisions of their lives by taking away all his pain and suffering. He was such a happy-go-lucky baby who enjoyed eating all the time. My healthy, dearest, happy baby. I don't want to believe this is happening and never in a million years would I imagine my sister laying her baby boy to rest but God has called him home and he's resting in love now. He was such a happy baby that loved giggling, even if it was as small as smiling and calling him "handsome!" He was the best baby I knew. My sister would tell me how every morning he was the alarm clock for their whole household and he would just lay there talking all morning. He loved when Lori would sing songs to him, he loved the itsy bitsy spider and you are my sunshine. Now that he's with the man upstairs all we can do is make sure he peacefully goes. We are here in California and would like to bring him home, back to Seattle. Absolutely anything helps, the funds will be used for funeral arrangements and the transportation for their family and the baby.
