Jennifer's Medical Expenses

Hi, I'm fundraising for myself, as hard as that is. My health has deteriorated over the last year with the discovery of a brain tumor, diagnosis of epilepsy and now an aneurysm at the base of my spleen. This is quite a difficult time for me & my family as we navigate the serious nature of what's going on.

I have to take medical leave from work to have surgical repair on my aneurysm in hopes that it doesn't rupture. There is a strong possibility that I will need to have my spleen removed.

I do not have paid time for this medical leave, which at the moment, is supposed to last 10 weeks. During these 10 weeks, I will not be receiving wages but I really need to keep my insurance. In order to do so, I need to make direct payments to my place of work for the next couple of months. As you can imagine, that would be impossible to do while not earning any wages.

While I have met my deductible for my insurance, I still need to pay 20% of the cost of the surgery. I was able to talk them into my paying 35% of the 20% I need to put down so that I can have a payment plan.

Creating this fundraiser was the last thing on my list of possible ways to come up with the money for the down payment on my surgery, as well as the money to keep my insurance over the next few months.

I understand that everybody has hardships and mine is not more important than anyone else's. With that said, if there is any way that anyone could contribute to this fundraiser, I would appreciate it more than words can say. My family needs me, my children need me and I'm not ready to give that up.
