Help Us Honor Mom's Final Wishes

Donation protected
February 15, 2025, my mom was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia, causing her health to decline very quickly. On February 25, her heart stopped, and they performed CPR. After 15-17 mins, they recovered her pulse and intubated her. Due to the lack of oxygen to her brain for that amount of time, it caused significant and permanent brain damage. She was unresponsive ever since and would never recover from the brain damage. So, on March 3, 2025, my brother and I made the decision to remove my mom off life support and let her go because those were her wishes. She would not have wanted to live like that. This was very unexpected and not an easy decision for us to make.

I am a single mother of 6 and now left to care for my disabled sister as well. Mom’s wishes are to be cremated and be placed at Fairview Cemetery near my grandpa (her dad). We would like to also have a memorial or a celebration of life at a later date once we receive her ashes, but in the meantime, we are trying to raise the funds for the cremation and for her to be placed at the cemetery. So therefore her service and celebration of life will be postponed. I have been out of work for nearly 2 weeks due to all of this going on and to spend my last moments with my mom making finances very minimum during this time. I’ve never been the one to ask for help but it is much needed at this time and will be greatly appreciated. The funds for the cremation have to be paid in full by march 11th.

My mom was a very strong woman, the strongest woman I have ever known! She had a heart of gold. She would do anything and everything she was capable of doing for anyone. She was a very loving and caring person. She was a strong believer in Christ. She had survived cancer twice and gotten through a lot of other health issues. She endured a lot of pain and heartache, but she always kept a positive mind and a smile on her face. She will always be loved and missed every single day.

This is a very difficult time full of heartache for myself, my brother, and especially my sister, and if you could donate anything, it would be greatly appreciated. Any amount would help. We would really like to be able to grant my mom's wishes because she deserves nothing but the best. She would have done it for us! Thank you!
