Lori's Education Seminar & Practicum Fundraiser

Hi everyone, 

To fulfill a requirement of my Education concentration/minor, I will be spending January 2020 in K-12 classrooms at two different schools in Hawaii as a teaching assistant and tutor. In addition, I will also be in a seminar, learning about race, class, multiculturalism, geography, and diversity -- all important aspects of one's educational experiences. 

I am going to school to become a psychology professor because I want to show future first-generation students that they belong in higher education and deserve success. This amazing opportunity will provide me with knowledge and training to help me become a culturally-competent faculty member in higher education. 

I am asking for help to fund this trip to cover:
- Airfare
- Local transportation
- Food (highly overpriced b/c of the tourist attraction),
- Textbooks (required for the seminar)
- Extra excursions with the class
