Cancer Warrior!

As many of you know, my best friend, Jessica, was diagnosed with polycythemia vera 17 years ago that progressed to myelofibrosis last year. Without treatment, Jessica's condition would have progressed to Leukemia in 3 to 5 years.
Jessica starts chemotherapy at Stanford on September 12, 2020. She and her devoted boyfriend, Matt, will be living away from Reno for the next three months. They are leaving behind their home and their four legged children. Because of Jessica's condition and her compromised immune system, she hasn't been able to work during the pandemic. Matt, also not wanting to risk exposure, has not been able to work as well. Neither Jessica nor Matt will be able to work during her course of treatment.
Prior to Jessica's transplant, she will undergo a high dose of chemotherapy followed by radiation prior to her bone marrow transplant. She is very fortunate that her half-brother, Tony, was matched as her donor.
Jessica will be in the hospital for almost two weeks. After being released, they will be in campus housing for three months. Funds are being requested to support Jessica and Matt for the various expenses they will incur during the next three months. In addition, Jessica is still fighting with her insurance company to pay for her radiation as it is considered out of network.
Jessica has been a warrior throughout this entire time. She is one of the strongest individuals that I have ever met so please consider donating to this very important cause.
