Kicking Cancer AGAIN!

Just my journey with cancer so far. In 2022 I was diagnosed with invasive adenocarcinoma of the cervix. In August 2022 I underwent a fertility sparing surgery to remove the cancer from my body. In September 2022 my oncologist said I had a 95% chance that my cancer was cured. All of 2023 I continued with my follow up appointments with no imaging being performed.

October 2023 I began having issues with my abdomen between pain, growing lumps and digestive issues. My oncologist was informed of the long history of cancer in females on the maternal side of the family. The medical student that accompanied my oncologist in this appointment wanted me to have a CT scan immediately. However in the words of my oncologist, “with my type of cancer he was not concerned and I could wait until it was closer to my 1st 6 month interval appointment” to have the scan done.

1/24/24 I finally have my CT scan completed which showed metastatic growth in several areas.

2/14/24 I have a PET scan completed which confirms metastatic cancer in several areas through out my body (including several lymph nodes in my chest, lymph nodes surrounding the bowels in my abdomen and lymph nodes in the pelvis. As well as cancer on the spleen, uterus and colon.

On 2/20/2024 I was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic cancer and will be undergoing treatment.

I have a biopsy scheduled for 3/7/2024. This will allow the new oncologist to determine on a molecular level what treatment the cancer will best respond to in order to give me a boost in this fight.

I am starting this go fund me at the request of several people or for those asking how they can help now. Cancer is something no one plans for. I was just getting back financially stable after the first round. I would like to go into this battle knowing I have some cushion for the days I may not be able to work and not have that added stress on top of being sick. My vehicle is in need of repair as it has no heat, tries to overheat while driving despite having coolant and needs new tires.

As most of you know I am currently an EMT Basic actively working for an ambulance company. Unfortunately hours have become limited and I have already had to take time off for appointments. I have gone to work and responded to the emergency of others while being physically ill; all because of the financial stress battling cancer brings. I would like to be able to have the ability to stay home on the days I should/need to without worry. All money raised will be put towards car repairs and covering bills. As I say… companies don’t care if you’re sick… all they want is their $$. I also will have an Amazon wish list available soon at the request of my best friend. Thank you so much for your time.
