Hi my name , is Brie Brown and I am fundraising for our family’s monthly expenses including rent. We are a family of 5 and my husband is the main bread winner, he recently got Covid for the first time in December and hasn’t been himself ever since. He took some time off work to rest this past week and was required by his job to get a doctors note, this lead to us finding out his health is not in a good place.

So far we know he’s diabetic and he was put on medication and insulin , but despite this his health and glucose levels haven’t improved. His CK levels were 1,053 and the normal range is between 22-200 , he also found he’s hypercalcemic , and has high cholesterol… he has more labs coming up and more doctor visits to find out what’s causing all of this. He’s exhausted all of his PTO and sick time , and is filling for catastrophic leave to help him get his next pay Check. His doctors want him to take time off to rest but he’s so worried about us being financially ok and without a concrete diagnosis he can’t apply for disability. I realize this is a hefty goal but with the fees that are taken I am hoping we see half of that to help us get through the next couple months so he can take the time he needs to get healthy and back on his feet.
