Benji Medical Expense

Hi, my name Is Consuela and I'm fundraising for my son Benji medical and housing expense. Our life changed on February 13, 2021. Benji woke up not feeling well. He said mom I'm not feeling well but I'm going to work. As a mother I knew he was just pushing his self. Prior to this day Benji had been dealing with a cold. He was tested serval time for COVID and all test came back negative. Benji left for work on February 13 and I as his mother was on egg shells all morning. Around noon a get a call from his job nurse stating my son was in bad shape and I need to come pick him up or they was going to call EMS. I told the company nurse that I'm on my way and would get him tot the hospital before EMS would arrive. All I could think about is that my 26 year old son needs his mom. I got Benji to the hospital and they took him back right away. Due to the COVID policies I was unable to go back with him. I knew he was scared and felt alone. After they ran test the nurse came to the lobby and said the doctor would like to speak with you about your son. The look on the doctors face I knew something was terribly wrong. That's when he said your son is in heart failure. As a mother I knew I had to stay strong for my child. Benji was admitted and then placed on a life vest. Benji looked at me a said mom I don't want to die. At that moment I started to pray with him and let him know God had him covered. To a twenty six year old this was a death sentence. Over the next weeks and month Benji had developed blood clots in his lungs and heart which led him to have surgery after surgery to remove the clots. Benji was removed from the life vest and had surgery for a heart device. After a few weeks we went to MUSC in Charleston where he was placed on the heart transplant list. Benji is now on serval medicines and treatment that is very expensive. He's no longer able to work and support his self as he has done in the last 10 years. I am not the one that like to ask for help but I have to put my pride aside and get my baby the best medical care possible. Benji will have to travel for more test and treatment. Housing and medication is very expensive as I have explained earlier. Any donation will be greatly appreciated.
