Help Restore Bald Monkey!

I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my friends, Melisa and Stoney, the owners of Bald Monkey Beanery in Goose Creek, SC.

This small, veteran-owned and operated coffee shop has been a cornerstone of the community, a place where friends gather, stories are shared, and we all give back to those around us. Unfortunately, our beloved café recently faced yet another significant setback. As if the Redbank Sewer Project wasn't already making it nearly impossible for them to keep the doors open, during this severe tropical storm, the already-struggling ceiling failed, leaving them in a dire situation.

As a family owned and operated business, their mission has always been to serve and support their community. They pride themselves on creating a warm, welcoming space where everyone feels at home. Whether it's offering free coffee to first responders and teachers, hosting community events, or donating to local charities, they've always believed in the power of giving back.

Now, they need our help. The cost to repair the damage and replace the ceiling is beyond their current means due to the year-long battle with the road work outside the shop, so I'm reaching out to our friends, neighbors, and supporters for assistance on their behalf (unbeknownst to them).

Your donation, no matter how small, will make a significant impact in helping get them back on their feet, as they have done for so many previously.

Every dollar raised will go directly to the repairs, ensuring that they can reopen their doors and continue being a beacon of community spirit. Your generosity will not only help them rebuild and get back to serving up the best coffee in town, but will also enable them to keep supporting the many causes and people who rely on them.

Melisa and Stoney didn't ask me to create this and have been vehemently against asking for help, but they need it so I'm going over their heads. Figuratively, of course, since Stoney is practically a giant. They'll forgive me eventually!
