Ryan Lloyd Memorial Fund

Hi, my name is Mackenzie Cover. Ryan has been a close friend of mine for several years and was a wonderful coworker (and boss at one point). As many of you know, Ryan Lloyd tragically and suddenly passed away on September 7, 2022. He is survived by his beautiful little girl, Nora, and loving wife, Carlin. In the coming days, Carlin will have many unforeseen expenses and hardships. Money from this fund will all go to Carlin and Nora to address these unforeseen expenses. These costs have all been shared between two incomes, but Carlin is now Nora's sole provider. Ryan's primary goal in life was to ensure Nora was provided for, and this is a way to honor that wish. Caring for a toddler as a single parent will be expensive. These costs will include daycare, housing, clothing, and other necessities. Carlin will also be incurring moving expenses and have to take off time from work for an undetermined period of time. In addition to these, there are also funeral expenses and other unexpected costs associated with Ryan's passing.

Anyone who has ever met Ryan will tell you his smile could light up a room, and he had the most generous spirit. He never hesitated to help others, even at his own expense and inconvenience. No matter how overwhelmed he was, he always took the time to cheer up those around him and offer assistance. It seems like everyone has a story about Ryan going out of his way to make them laugh and feel valued. In his 33 years, Ryan accomplished many things, but the thing he would be most proud of is his family. Carlin and Nora were his entire life and are now tasked with carrying on his legacy.

Ryan played baseball for Wake Forest and was a lifelong Atlanta Braves and Steelers fan. He loved listening to metal and was the reigning cornhole champion. Ryan attended UGA for law school, where he was proud to cheer on his Bulldogs. As an attorney, he was a passionate advocate for his clients and always took the time to listen and ensure they felt heard and supported. He loved watching tv with Carlin, especially the Great British Baking Show, the Bachelor, Peaky Blinders, Euphoria, and Succession. Ryan was a dog dad to Magnolia and Louie, the latter of which was a little bit of a handful. Ryan was known around the office for his funky socks, including ones featuring the faces of Nora and Louie.

Ryan was an absolute ray of sunlight in every space he was in. He led every interaction with a smile and a joke. He was the type of friend most people don't get in life. I consider myself incredibly lucky and honored to have been his friend, and I know many of you feel the same. Taking care of Carlin and Nora in Ryan's honor is the best way to honor his memory, as they meant absolutely everything to him.

Please give what you can and share with those around you.
