Help us get back on our feet ..

This morning, my husband and I lost everything we own when our apartment burned down. Thankfully, we were not home when the fire occurred, and we did not suffer any physical injury. However, everything we have spent the last 3 years accumulating was either completely destroyed or damaged beyond repair. I am grateful to be alive and well, but I am extremely distraught. I have no idea how I will replace the major things I lost or even the simplest essentials. I am a recording artist and today, when my apartment burned down I lost thousands of dollars of equipment. Lights, cameras, microphones, speakers, mixers, and computers all burned to ash. We lost clothes, shoes, furniture, and personal heirlooms. However, I lost the most emotionally. Just thinking about the hard work and sacrifice that went into writing, recording, and rehearsing all of the music I lost today is emotionally defeating. My apartment was filled with so many original creations and works of art. The only way I can describe this lost is heartbroken.
