This is Oakley our beautiful, loyal, 7-year-old Staffy.

He’s been our shadow, our comfort, and our best friend through thick and thin. No matter what life has thrown our way, Oakley has been there always by our side, always ready with a wagging tail, a goofy grin, and the kind of unconditional love that only a dog can give.

Recently, our world was turned upside down when the vet diagnosed Oakley with a mast cell tumour a type of cancer that, if left untreated, can spread quickly and cause him immense pain. Hearing those words broke our hearts. We were told that surgery is his best chance for a healthy, happy life, and we’re determined to do whatever it takes to give him that chance.

Oak isn’t “just a dog” he’s family. He’s been with us through our hardest days, making them brighter just by being there. He’s the one who senses when we’re sad, the one who makes the whole house feel warmer and happier, the one we can’t imagine life without.

The surgery, follow-up care, and medication come at a cost that’s more than we can manage on our own. Asking for help is not easy, but we’re doing it for him because he deserves every chance to keep living the joyful, love-filled life he has always given us.
