Please Help Jeremy’s Recovery

On the morning of Friday August 29th, my fiancé Jeremy and his friend were on their way to work when tragedy struck. A semi pulled out in front of them, and their car collided head-on with the trailer. Jeremy’s friend did not survive the crash. Jeremy was life-flighted to the hospital in critical condition.

Since then, Jeremy has undergone multiple major surgeries. He suffered internal bleeding and had to have his spleen repaired. He has a minor brain bleed that doctors are monitoring closely. Both of his legs are broken—his tibia and fibula have been surgically repaired, and his left knee has a rod holding his hip in place after it was fractured and dislocated. His hip itself is broken, and his arm and wrist required tendon repairs after dislocation.

Jeremy faces a very long road to recovery. He won’t be able to put weight on his legs for a long time, and he will not be able to return to work. He was the primary provider for our family, and right now I’m just trying to figure out how to keep food on the table, pay bills, and take care of our kids while helping him heal. We may eventually need a handicap van and other accommodations just so he can have some quality of life again.

Looking at his car, I know that no one should have survived that wreck. The only explanation is that God was watching over him. Bones can heal, and while we don’t know what the future holds, we are clinging to faith and taking this one day at a time.

If God puts it on your heart to help in any way, we would be beyond grateful. Any amount, big or small, will go directly to supporting Jeremy’s recovery, our household needs, and caring for our children during this difficult time.

If you are unable to give, please keep Jeremy, our kids, and our family in your prayers. We appreciate every bit of support—prayers, kind words, and help with the kids. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for lifting us up.
