Hello. We are a group of animal lovers who have been caring for stray and feral cats in Ogdensburg, NY. While finding homes, spaying and neutering, and keeping many cats fed and warm is our main goal, we often come across animals that need help, and we come to their aid. On July 30, it was brought to our attention via social media that an animal was hit by a vehicle and was hiding under a shed. We got the cat, Milo, out from under the shed. Unfortunately, he was unable to move on his own.

We were able to get a hold of Destinee Nugent, a Licensed Wildlife Rehabilitator, who rushed over immediately. She was able to get Milo into a safe place for the night and got him x-rays the following day. It appears as though he has a broken tail and a broken pelvis. He will be seeing the veterinarian on July 31 for a more thorough check.

As we all know, veterinary care is not cheap. Milo does not live with any of us. His owners have agreed to surrender him so we can get him proper care so he can live his life. He is a sweet boy who loves snuggles and purrs away while cuddling. We are asking for help to get him up and moving again!

With all cases like this, there is the chance that there is nothing that can be done for Milo. We are so hopeful that we will be able to get him help. If it comes to the point where the humanitarian thing to do is for Milo to go across the rainbow bridge instead of surgery, we will contact all donors to see if they would like their money refunded or donated to Destinee's wildlife rehab. We are hoping it does not come down to that, as this sweet boy deserves a full recovery!

We are so hopeful for a positive future for Milo.
