Hello supporters, friends, and family! We are proud to announce that we will be representing Qing Wei USA in our first international competition, Hung C Lau 2026 in Hong Kong. It is our honor to not only bring the Qing Wei USA name overseas, but also to help the lion dance scene in Orange County, California, and the entire United States grow to have a greater presence in Asia, ultimately contributing to the greater movement of cultural preservation.
As a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, all funds made throughout the year go directly back into our team operation; to buy new equipment and provide our youth with the resources they need to thrive, as lion dancers and as also as individuals in this community. Our international competition team seeks to do more, beyond our immediate community mission, and extend our passion to the other part of the world.
Overseas competition expenses can be quite demanding. In order to perform at our best and do our due diligence to represent our name and community, we ask for your support. Any donations made through this GoFundMe and to our troupe, will help us better understand the craft of lion dancing from a greater perspective. We will be able to afford traveling to a cultural hub, pay for fees to proudly compete side by side with the rest of the world, and gain experiences that will help us continue this tradition for generations to come.
So we ask that our community can support and help us pursue this greater mission of knowledge and tradition.
To thank our donors and supporters we would like to offer tokens of appreciation. Please click here to learn about our donor's perks!
