**UPDATE**

Thanks to all who have donated so far! here is just a quick update:
So Kat and Terry had a phone call from the vet today, not the best of news. Her condition has worsened over night however she has gained some ability in being able to blink once very 20 odd minutes. She recognised them which was comforting and she had a bit of her chainsaw purr going and a few quiet meows. She has a drip and an endless amount of heat bags a warm air flow as well as heated drip as she has lost control of regulating her temperature.

It is touch and go without the anti-venom so with that in mind we would like to try and help them raise the total needed cost of $1600 for a single dose of anti-venom which is the best chance for a cure

This is Maeda, and she's adorable. To Kat and Terry, their pets are their children, so where some people might get their kids names tattooed, they get their pet's paw prints tattooed and keep a photo of their fur babies in their wallets.

Yesterday, Maeda was bitten by a brown snake (which for our international friends is one of Australia's most venomous snakes). This has left poor Maeda paralysed (hopefully temporarily), though fortunately she has survived.

It has also left an incredibly large hole in the pockets of Kat and Terry who have just received a significant vet bill, with more bills on the horizon for her ongoing care and home recovery.


We are their friends and family, and lord knows they've helped us on more than one occasion, so we figured it's only right that we pitch in and help Kat, Terry and miss Maeda in any way we can.
