Medical Expenses for Roylynn Evans

Donation protected
Henry "Roylynn" Evans was born on May 2, 1950 in Vernon, Texas to Henry & Viola Evans. He moved to Canyon, Texas as a young adult and attended West Texas A&M University where he actively pursued his passion as an artist. Roylynn married Janet McMinn in 1976 and later had 2 daughters, Abby & Anne. He and his wife became owners of The Colony Frame & Gallery in 1993. Roylynn is a very loved Husband, Father, Papa, Uncle, Son-in-law, and Brother-in-law. He has been a member of The Church at Quail Creek for the last 38 years. Anyone who knows Roylynn is aware of his strong faith, his huge heart, love for his country, gardening, painting, and his family.

He has been battling respiratory complications for the past 4 years and finally received a recent diagnosis of Idiopathic Pulmonary  Fibrosis, an incurable disease in which the lungs form scar tissue, making it more and more difficult to breathe. Roylynn is currently on several expensive medications, one of which will hopefully slow the progression of the disease, and full-time oxygen. Over the last couple of years, he's had multiple hospitalizations, numerous tests, and countless doctor visits with multiple specialists in Amarillo and New Mexico. We recently learned stem cell treatments have been used to treat and improve lung function in patients with IPF. The Lung Institute in Dallas performs these treatments, but at a great cost. The total cost will be $12,000. Though this is very expensive and somewhat new for IPF we feel confident it will improve quality of life for Roylynn.

This page has been created by his 2 daughters, Abby & Anne, out of concern for the extremely high cost of his medications, hospital bills, Dr. Visits (some of which are out of town), need for Stem Cell Treatments. We GREATLY appreciate any donations and could never express how much it means to our family.  But we truly value your prayers just as much! Our prayers at this time are that he can continue to recieve any life sustaining medications and treatments that will make whatever amount of time he has left more comfortable.  As with any disease, the emotional and financial strains have been difficult, and our goal is to make it as bearable as possible for our parents. Thank you for taking the time to read our page!

Jeremiah 29:11-13
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.
