Help me save my best friend

Hi everyone, I am Samantha. I am a healthcare professional currently fighting on the frontline for COVID-19 and last night my best friend of 12 years started to face his own battle. Bully is an amazing, loving, caring, huge love bug and an elder brother who last night wasn’t feeling the greatest and all of sudden started panting heavily and just laid down. He was not moving and looked at me in my eyes, saying “Mommy, please help me. I cannot hide this pain anymore. Please help me.” I rushed him immediately to the Emergency vet at 1:45 am with tears in my eyes. He is usually energetic in the car but he just laid in my lap while my boyfriend, who is also a medical professional, drove us to the vet. He loves to see new people and always goes up to them to steal pets, but this time it was different. When the triage nurse came he didn’t move in the car, this is not him. There was something wrong. They took him and we waited in the car for the call from the vet. More than an hour passed by and we were worried, and called for an update as we sat outside in our car helpless and not being next to him, constantly being worried that he is alone and anxious in a new place. Finally, we were connected to the vet hoping to hear that oh, his stomach is just upset and we will give some anti-nausea meds and send him home. Little did we know that our world will turn upside down. The news was, he found a big mass in his left abdomen in the spleen, kidney or intestine region and free fluid in his abdomen. He suspects it being Hemangiosarcoma, CANCER, which might be bleeding. The mass is about 6-8 cm and bully needs emergent surgery as it has a high likelihood of rupturing. They will also be looking to see if it has spread along his body. They admitted him to the ICU and upon request in these harsh circumstances brought him out for us to say goodnight. It was hard to say goodnight and signing the papers to have them perform heroic measures if things went wrong. I will do anything for my best friend, he means the world to me.

We are both healthcare workers and were saving to move across the country to California as my boyfriend will be starting his residency. But we have put all our savings and money we saved for the move towards bully’s treatment and still coming short. We are pleading to America to help us so we can help my best friend win this battle and just come home to his brother.

All the proceedings will be going towards bully's medical expenses which includes his surgery cost, stay in the hospital as they will monitor him and recovery. Below is the link to their instagram:
