My cousin Danica is a loving, happy, and wonderful person. She built a beautiful life for herself in Nova Scotia with the man she loves and his two children, who I know Danica loves very much.
Danica and her fiancé, Brad, just had new baby of their own. They knew there were going to be complications with the baby, but given the option, they chose to give their child a life.
When baby came, the complications were more than expected. Baby has cloacal exstrophy the severest case of bladder exstrophy; baby will need 4 surgeries in the next year and more to follow as she grows and depending on how development goes.
While her Baby Girl fights battles and wins at the IWK Children’s Hospital in Halifax, Danica will not be far away.
That is why we are asking for your help. Over the next year, Danica will have to live in hotels, travel, and dine out while her Baby Girl is in the hospital. Danica lives four hours away from where her baby is, all of her family is out west, or in PEI - finding accommodations in Halifax is a struggle when on a very tight budget.
The money will go towards travel expenses, accommodations, and food in Halifax for Danica and her family and future surgery costs for Baby Girl. We hope to raise this money by December 31st, 2015.
My cousin and I don't see each other often as we live so far apart, but every time I see her I am impressed with the woman she has become. She is wonderful person and will make a fantastic mother. We want to make this time as stress free as we can; all we can do is provide our love and financial support to her and her family.
