Hello! My name is Aslin, and this GoFundMe is for my dog, Max. Max is an 11-year-old Chihuahua mix whom I adopted from a shelter when he was just 1 month old. Despite his age, he still has that playful puppy energy, which surprises everyone that meets him.

Recently, Max was diagnosed with cancer, a mast cell tumor. Even with this diagnosis, he still seems healthy and full of life, which makes this diagnosis all the more heartbreaking. I want to give him the best chance at a few more happy, healthy years. His treatment plan includes surgery and aggressive radiation to try to control the cancer locally and prevent it from spreading. The total cost for his treatment is estimated to be around $13,000, far beyond what I can manage on my own.

So far, I’ve already spent about $2,000 on Max’s diagnostics and initial care. As a full-time veterinary student, I currently work two jobs and am even looking for a third to help cover the cost of his treatment. Even with all of this effort, the cost of surgery and radiation is more than I can manage on my own, which is why I’m turning to this GoFundMe for help.

Max isn’t just a pet; he’s been my companion through everything. He was there when I made the life-changing move from Puerto Rico to the United States for veterinary school, and he has brought joy, comfort, and unconditional love every step of the way.

I'm hoping to raise funds to cover his medical expenses so Max can receive the care he urgently needs. Every donation, no matter the size, will help provide Max with the treatment that can give him more time to live his best life.
