On February 15, 2023, our worlds turned upside down when our little brother Kalvin was in a near fatal car accident that left him with a severe traumatic brain injury. To give Kalvin the best possible recovery outcome, we flew him out to Colorado to participate in what is typically a 60-90 day rehabilitation program with the world renowned Craig Hospital. After two additional surgeries and a handful of medical setbacks that kept him there longer than anticipated, we are thrilled to finally say that Kalvin is back in California after a long awaited 10 months. Kalvin has made some great progress during his time at Craig, however still has a long way to go. He is fully medical and wheelchair dependent and cannot travel outside of the hospital setting without a customized vehicle that can transport him. For over the past year, our mom Debbie has not left Kalvin’s side. She has been an absolute pillar of strength and optimism; whose faith has been firmly rooted in God’s promises alone and His purpose and plan behind all of our tragedy. Despite the rapidly growing cost for the advanced medical care that Kalvin requires, she has never asked for anything from anyone. It is only through the efforts of our family, friends and community that we have been able to collaborate and give her and Kalvin what they deserve to live a life of quality. We are asking for help to raise a down payment for a vehicle that will allow them to experience life together outside of a hospital setting. This will give him the opportunity to see all of his family and friends that he has gone without for over a year now, to have the ability to enjoy holidays at home and allow him to attend church on Sunday’s. If you have the financial means, you would be blessing Kalvin and our family beyond measure. If you do not, please help us by sharing our fundraiser. Thank you so much for all of your prayers and ongoing support. You will never now just how much it has meant during our darkest days. God bless. xx
