Funeral expenses for my Dad

My Dad John recently passed away due to health issues he had been battling for over 3 years. 
I watched him decline fast over the last few months, which was very hard to watch.

I saw a man that I looked up to for strength lose his mobility and his mind.

John was a father, a grand father, a brother, and uncle… He was stubborn but passionate. He was protective and not afraid to tell you that.

The purpose of this GoFundMe is to raise funds for John's funeral expenses and to help our stepmother with the increasing costs. As our family has been inundated with high-costs of my fathers medical bills, nursing/rehabilitation and also hospice fees that were not covered by his insurance.

Though my family and I are devastated by this loss, it is more devastating watching the cost of services add up. My siblings and I need assistance with paying for services. I feel conflicted to make this post, but know that I am not able to ease the costs on my own. If anyone out there finds it possible to help by donating, I would greatly appreciate it. If you are not able to, that is alright too.
